Many people love to pay all their bills in cash. While using cash is a great way to never become indebted to anyone, you are still creating a disadvantage for yourself. When you use cash, you probably don't remember where you have spent your money. Days, weeks, and months will go by automatically. There are so many things that grab our attention each and every day; it is hard to keep up with every little detail. If you want to see where you have spent your money, paying with cash will not allow you to do so.

You may be one of these people who do not trust banks. If that is the case, it will be very difficult for you not to use cash. There is a solution that you could possibly use if you are open to it. If you keep most of your money in a safe at your home or another secure location, you may consider putting some money in the bank each month in a large lump sum. This will allow you to use a checkbook or a debit card to pay for all of your bills each month.

Having a paper trail of where your money has gone is a great way to see what you are spending your money on. Without a paper trail, you will be forced to try to remember what you bought when and where, along with keeping up with hundreds and thousands of receipts you have received from each location. If you're like most of us, you probably are watching your money in trying to save as much as possible. Starting to keep a paper trail of doing so is the first step.

Not paying for items with a credit card is the best thing possible. If you are paying with cash for everything in your life, you are already one step ahead of many people. You can take this to the next level by tracking your spending to see exactly where each dollar goes. Even if you do not trust banks, it is best to put a little bit of money in there and take advantage of all the free services they offer. If you have a computer, it has become simpler than ever to do online banking and use a debit card. Keeping the bulk of your money in a secure location that you feel is safe, while putting a little bit of money in the bank each month should be a win-win solution. You should at least consider, it may pay off in help big time in the long run.
